Software to turn a scanner such as the Epson V700  into a scanning optical densitometer to measure both transmission and reflection optical density.   Measures reflected light from a printed surface or transmitted light through film with great accuracy.  Works with color or black and white.

                               Measuring the optical density of an image

In the above simple example, DensitometerSoft is examining a section of a photographic image from a printed surface.  The density and percent reflected or transmitted light is analyzed and displayed.   Also accepts data from an artwork file.  Not tested on Windows 7.
